Envision's cabin air filter is located near the glove box on the passenger side. You can see the cabin air filter after removing the glove box. To replace the cabin air filter, first remove the passenger side glove box, then take out the old filter and install the new one. The cabin air filter is a filter installed in the car's air conditioning system that can absorb dust particles, reduce respiratory discomfort, minimize irritation for allergy sufferers, and protect the air conditioning cooling system. The Envision S is a midsize SUV with a wheelbase of 2779mm, and its length, width, and height are 4662mm, 1883mm, and 1631mm respectively. The Envision S is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine across the entire lineup, with the engine code LSY.

My Envision has been running for three or four years now. The cabin air filter is located behind the glove compartment next to the front passenger seat. You'll need to open the glove box door first, where you'll find two clips at the very bottom - one on each side. Gently press them down with your fingers or twist the small knobs, and the entire glove box can be removed. Then you'll see a plastic cover, lift it up and the filter is hidden there. Changing it yourself is quite simple. I bought an OEM filter online for just 20-30 yuan each. Check it every 10,000 kilometers or every six months, because when the filter gets clogged, the AC airflow decreases, which not only increases fuel consumption but also affects health. Be careful not to pull too hard during installation to avoid damaging the clips. After replacement, the air inside the car becomes much fresher, especially helpful for my pollen allergy - driving is much more comfortable now. Remember to turn off the key before replacing to prevent battery drain.

Can a Cracked Windshield Be Repaired?

A cracked windshield can be repaired depending on the severity of the crack. Some cracks are repairable, but only if the damage is limited to the outer layer of the glass. Generally, repairable crack types include star-shaped cracks and linear cracks. Cracks near the edges are more difficult to repair. Windshield Crack Repair Steps: Clean the damaged area with alcohol and glass cleaner, then blow away any small glass fragments to smooth the surface. Apply positioning paste from the repair kit. After positioning, drip glass repair fluid, being careful not to use too much. Prepare a syringe, pull it to the top, and block the syringe's bottom opening for about 10 minutes until all air bubbles escape. This ensures no air remains in the damaged area. Reinsert the syringe into the holder and press it downward to force the repair fluid into the crack. Maintain pressure for 15 minutes to allow the fluid to penetrate the crack. After 15 minutes, replace with a curing film and use a blade to remove any air bubbles. Note that the resin cures using sunlight's UV rays, not heat. Finally, park the car in sunlight for 15 minutes. Remove the cured film and scrape off excess adhesive with a blade. If your windshield has a crack, repair it as soon as possible. Otherwise, temperature fluctuations throughout the day can cause the glass to expand and contract, while wind resistance further stresses the damaged area, potentially worsening the crack. Delaying repairs may reduce effectiveness. Additionally, if the crack is too long, repair is not recommended as it may easily crack again later, compromising the windshield's strength and posing safety risks. In such cases, replacing the windshield promptly is advisable.
