Geely car engines are domestically produced. Geely Vision engine: The Geely Vision is equipped with Geely's new 1.8L and 1.5L CVVT all-aluminum engines with complete independent intellectual property rights. This CVVT all-aluminum engine represents the highest level of domestic independent brand engines currently available. Geely car power: In terms of power, the maximum power reaches 138 horsepower (equivalent to the power of a 2.4L engine); the maximum torque is 172 NM at 4200 RPM; in terms of weight, the all-aluminum engine is 30% lighter than ordinary steel engines, with reduced weight and extended service life. In terms of fuel consumption, the Geely CVVT engine adopts internationally leading all-plastic intake pipe design, effectively reducing intake resistance, increasing intake volume, and minimizing power loss, demonstrating strong fuel-saving and economical characteristics, with a fuel consumption of only about 6.5L per 90km/h.

I've been following Geely Auto closely. Most of its engines are domestically produced in China. As a Chinese brand headquartered in Hangzhou, Geely manufactures the majority of its engines in factories located in Ningbo, Zhejiang or Shanghai. Geely's technology has become very advanced now, especially after collaborating with Volvo, sharing many R&D resources. The engine performance has been optimized excellently, delivering strong power while being fuel-efficient. When purchasing a new Geely vehicle, you can confirm it's equipped with a domestic engine by checking the manual. Maintenance is also convenient with abundant spare parts available at affordable prices. In short, don't worry about domestic quality - the progress in recent years has been tremendous, and the reliability is completely on par with imported cars.

Should rear passengers in a car fasten seat belts?

Rear passengers in a car should fasten seat belts, with detailed analysis as follows: 1. Sitting in the rear seat without wearing a seat belt seriously threatens the safety of front-row occupants and poses hazards to oneself. During a collision, unrestrained rear passengers may violently impact the front seatbacks, potentially causing injuries to the nasal bridge, arms, cervical spine, etc. 2. Article 51 of China's 'Road Traffic Safety Law' stipulates that drivers and passengers must use seat belts as required while the vehicle is in motion. Failure to wear seat belts during vehicle operation constitutes a traffic violation.

Can 92 octane gasoline be used if only 93 octane or higher unleaded gasoline is recommended?

Only 93 octane or higher unleaded gasoline can be used, not 92 octane. Definition of unleaded gasoline: It refers to gasoline with a lead content below 0.013g/L, which does not have tetraethyl lead added as an anti-knock additive during the refining process, abbreviated as ULP (Un-Leaded Petro). Unleaded gasoline contains only trace amounts of lead from crude oil, generally one-hundredth of a gram per liter of gasoline. Its octane rating is 95, slightly lower than the octane rating (97) of other existing leaded gasoline grades. Function of unleaded gasoline: Using unleaded gasoline can effectively control harmful substances in vehicle exhaust, reducing pollution such as hydrocarbons (HC, which causes smog), carbon monoxide (CO, toxic), and nitrogen oxides (NOx, which forms acid rain). The most effective and simplest method to reduce emissions is to install a catalytic converter in the exhaust system. However, when the lead content in gasoline exceeds 0.013 grams per liter, the catalyst will become ineffective, failing to control vehicle exhaust emissions. This critical amount is the standard for defining unleaded gasoline. Vehicles using unleaded gasoline must have hardened valve seats in the engine that do not require lead lubrication. If not, after using several tanks of unleaded gasoline, a tank of leaded gasoline should be used to lubricate the valve seats.

Can you turn right on a red arrow signal?

No, according to the "Regulations for the Implementation of the Road Traffic Safety Law": A red traffic light indicates that vehicles are prohibited from passing. Arrow direction signals pointing left, up, or right respectively indicate left turns, straight movement, or right turns. Therefore, when the right-turn arrow signal is red, vehicles in the right-turn lane must not proceed; otherwise, it constitutes running a red light. Details are as follows: 1. If a vehicle proceeds through a right-turn lane when the red arrow is already lit, it will be considered running a red light if caught on camera. Under the new regulations, running a red light incurs a 6-point penalty and a fine of 200 yuan. 2. If a vehicle has just crossed the stop line when the light turns red but stops immediately, traffic authorities will not penalize it. However, if there is noticeable movement after crossing the line, penalties will apply. Electronic monitoring captures three photos for red-light violations: the vehicle crossing the stop line, followed by the vehicle in the middle of the intersection, and then reaching the opposite side of the intersection. 3. Motor vehicles must not reverse at railway crossings, intersections, one-way roads, bridges, sharp curves, steep slopes, or tunnels. Violations may result in a warning or a fine ranging from 20 to 200 yuan. 4. Traffic police authorities state that according to the "Regulations for the Implementation of the Road Traffic Safety Law of the People's Republic of China," vehicles that have already crossed the stop line when the yellow light is flashing may continue to pass.

Is ETC mandatory for highway access in the future?

Vehicles without ETC can still access highways. According to State Council regulations, non-ETC vehicles won't enjoy toll discounts, and in the future, only one manual lane will remain at toll stations for cash payments. Newly installed ETC devices require activation before highway use, but all vehicles (including ETC users) can travel toll-free during holiday free periods - ETC lanes won't deduct fees for activated users. ETC billing principles: Highways feature dedicated ETC lanes using microwave communication between windshield-mounted OBUs and toll station antennas. This system automatically processes payments through bank backend settlements via computer networks, enabling barrier-free toll collection based on post-travel deduction. Benefits of ETC installation: Time-saving: Eliminates queuing wait times Eco-friendly: Reduces noise and emissions via non-stop passage Cost-efficient: Minimizes vehicle wear, fuel consumption from frequent stops High efficiency: Processes 2-3 times more vehicles than conventional lanes Policy support: The State Council's 13th Five-Year Transport Plan mandates 50% ETC adoption rate for passenger vehicles by 2020 Future applications: Beyond expanding ETC convenience and truck adoption, the system will integrate with V2X communication and smart transportation for comprehensive mobility services, enabling broader application scenarios.

What are the symptoms of high pressure in a car's air conditioning system?

Car air conditioning high pressure symptoms are: 1. Poor cooling performance of the air conditioning system. 2. Increased working pressure of the compressor. 3. Heating of high-pressure pipelines. 4. Compressor overheating, etc. Methods to address high pressure in car air conditioning: 1. Excessive refrigerant: Release some refrigerant or completely discharge and refill. 2. Excessive lubricant: Release refrigerant, use equipment to extract excess lubricant, then refill refrigerant. 3. Poor condenser heat dissipation: Clean surface dirt and pipelines of the condenser; inspect cooling fans which typically have high and low speed settings, checking if high speed functions. If condenser aging causes poor heat dissipation, replacement is recommended.
