The Cruze air conditioning control module is located behind the air conditioning control panel and can be seen after removing the air conditioning control panel. Method for replacing the cabin air filter: The Cavalier's cabin air filter is located on the passenger side, specifically inside the glove compartment near the center console. Open the glove compartment, and you will find three clips holding the cabin air filter cover. Gently pry the clips outward to open the cover, revealing the cabin air filter inside. Remove the old cabin air filter and install the new one, with the black activated carbon side facing the driver's position. The cabin air filter is installed near the air conditioning intake, behind the blower motor, and is used to filter the quality of incoming air from inside or outside the vehicle. Generally, the engine cabin air filter should be replaced once a year or every 12,000 kilometers. Locations of other Cruze modules: The Chevrolet Cruze engine control module is located to the right of the gear shift console. The Chevrolet Cruze transmission control module is inside the transmission, under a black cover to the lower right of the battery. The cover must be removed by unscrewing the bolts to access the transmission module, and transmission fluid must be drained before removal.
