Where is the Cruise Control on the Lavida?

Lavida's cruise control is located on the control lever at the lower left side of the steering wheel. Cruise control, also known as speed control system or autonomous driving system, allows the vehicle to maintain a set speed without the driver needing to press the accelerator pedal. Taking the 2021 Lavida as an example, its front suspension is a MacPherson independent suspension, and the rear suspension is a torsion beam non-independent suspension. It is equipped with a 1.4L turbocharged engine, delivering a maximum horsepower of 150PS, a maximum power of 110kW, and a maximum torque of 250Nm, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
I've driven the Volkswagen Lavida several times before, and the cruise control button is conveniently located on the left control stalk of the steering wheel, making it quite user-friendly. Once you reach your desired speed, simply push the SET button on the stalk, and it will automatically maintain that speed, which is a real lifesaver for long highway drives. During long trips, using it made my legs feel less fatigued, allowing me to relax a bit, but remember not to rely on it too much—you'll need to manually brake to cancel it when encountering steep slopes or traffic jams, either by pressing the CANCEL button or tapping the brake. Additionally, some models have the buttons integrated into the steering wheel, while the older Lavida models mostly feature the left-stalk design. If the system works stably, it can save some fuel, but it's best to regularly check if the buttons are responsive to avoid malfunctions affecting safety. Overall, the position is very intuitive—just feel for it and you'll know.
