The crankshaft ventilation pipe is located above the cylinder head. Crankshaft Ventilation: First, the crankshaft forced ventilation, accurately referred to as the crankcase forced ventilation, also known as the PCV system. Description of the Crankcase Ventilation System: The crankcase ventilation system allows the release of excess pressure and gases from the crankcase, sending them back into the engine through the intake system to be burned under any engine operating condition. The crankcase ventilation is primarily controlled by signals from the pressure sensor downstream of the throttle (engine load), the accelerator pedal position sensor (throttle pedal position), and the ambient temperature sensor. Functions of the Crankcase Ventilation System: Normal mode crankcase ventilation function, full-load mode crankcase ventilation function.
