Where is the crankshaft position sensor located on the Nissan Qashqai?

The crankshaft sensor of the Nissan Qashqai is located at the junction between the transmission and the engine. The crankshaft sensor is one of the most important sensors in the engine's electronic control system, providing signals for ignition timing and confirming crankshaft position, used to detect piston top dead center, crankshaft angle, and engine speed. Below are the detection methods for the crankshaft position sensor: 1. Resistance detection of the crankshaft position sensor: Unplug its wiring connector and use a multimeter to measure the resistance between each terminal of the sensor. The readings should comply with the specifications in the attached table; otherwise, replacement is required. 2. Output signal detection of the crankshaft position sensor: Unplug the wiring connector of the crankshaft position sensor. When the engine is turned, there should be pulse signal outputs between the G1-, G2-, and G- terminals. If there is no pulse signal output, replacement is necessary. 3. Gap detection between the sensor coil and the signal rotor: Use a feeler gauge to check the air gap between the signal rotor and the protrusion of the sensor coil. The gap should be 0.2~0.4mm. If the gap does not meet the requirements, replacement is needed.
