Where is the crankshaft located in the Mazda 3 Axela?

The crankshaft of the Mazda 3 Axela is located near the crankshaft pulley. The working principle of the crankshaft position sensor is to provide signals for ignition timing (ignition advance angle) and to confirm the crankshaft position, which are used to detect the piston top dead center, crankshaft rotation angle, and engine speed. The function of the crankshaft position sensor is to determine the position of the crankshaft, that is, the rotation angle of the crankshaft and the engine speed. The measurement method for the crankshaft position sensor is as follows: 1. Check that the normal gap between the crankshaft position sensor and the pulse wheel (target wheel) should be greater than 0.5mm and less than 1.2mm. 2. Turn off the ignition switch, disconnect the crankshaft position sensor connector, and measure the resistance between terminal 1 and terminal 2 of the sensor, which should be between 400~600 ohms. The two signal wires of the crankshaft position sensor should be insulated from the shielding wire. 3. Turn on the ignition switch and measure the voltage of the two signal wires to ground, which should be 1.4V. This is the reference voltage on the engine control unit signal line. When starting the engine, measure the signal voltage of the crankshaft position sensor, which should be close to 1.6V.
