Corolla crankshaft sensor is installed at the front right side of the engine near the pulley. More information about the crankshaft position sensor is as follows: 1. The working principle of the crankshaft position sensor is to provide signals for ignition timing (ignition advance angle) and confirm crankshaft position, used to detect piston top dead center, crankshaft rotation angle and engine speed. 2. The function of the crankshaft position sensor is to determine the position of the crankshaft, namely the rotation angle of the crankshaft and engine speed. 3. The crankshaft position sensor is usually installed at the front end of the crankshaft (near the pulley), rear end of the crankshaft near the flywheel, or middle of the crankshaft. In early models, it was also installed inside the distributor, being one of the most important sensors in the control system.
