Where is the child lock on the Touareg?

The child lock on the Touareg door is located near the door lock when the door is opened. Use the mechanical key from the remote key to insert into the child safety lock switch, turn it clockwise to activate the function, and counterclockwise to deactivate it. The specific usage method of the Touareg door child lock is as follows: Open the rear door, and you will find a small lever (safety mechanism) below the door lock. Push it towards the end with the child icon, then close the door. At this point, even if the electronic central locking system is activated, the device remains locked, and the door cannot be opened from the inside. If you want to open the rear door, it can only be done when the central locking system is activated, using the switch on the exterior of the door to pull it open. This device prevents active and unaware children from opening the door during driving when seated in the rear, thereby avoiding potential dangers.
