Where is the charging port of Aion Y located?

GAC New Energy Aion S has two charging interfaces, with the fast charging interface located on the driver's side and the slow charging interface on the other side. Portable Charging: Portable charging refers to using the portable charging cable provided with the vehicle to connect to a standard household socket for charging. This is a very convenient charging method, as long as you can find a socket, you can charge the vehicle. Home Charging: Home charging stations are the most common type of charging stations. Generally, private users who purchase electric vehicles will receive a home charging station as a gift. Of course, having a charging station alone is not enough; you also need a parking space and the property management's approval for installation.
I've been driving the Aion Y for almost a year now. The charging port is located right in the center front of the vehicle, beneath the front grille where you can see a cover with a lightning bolt logo. Opening it reveals two ports: the left one is for AC slow charging, suitable for home chargers, while the right is for DC fast charging at public stations. The placement is quite convenient—just park facing the charger and plugging in is effortless. A safety tip: always ensure the vehicle is turned off and locked before charging to avoid cable damage from movement. For maintenance, it's recommended to clean dust from the cover gaps every few months to prevent connection issues. In cold weather, this location stays relatively dry and less prone to icing. Overall, it's more user-friendly than models with rear charging ports, making it hassle-free even for someone like me who prefers simplicity. Charging is straightforward, with fast charging providing enough range in under 30 minutes.
