Where is the charger port in the Passat?

In some Passat models, the charger port is located at the bottom inside the front armrest box. Some lower-end models are not equipped with a charger port and only have an SD card slot. The voltage of the car charger port is reduced from 12V (i.e., the car battery voltage) to 5V, so you can safely charge your phone. The car charger, which is commonly powered by the car battery (12V for cars, 24V for trucks), is widely used in the charging of lithium batteries for various portable and handheld devices. The Passat is a mid-size car launched by SAIC Volkswagen, with a length, width, and height of 4933mm, 1836mm, and 1469mm respectively, and a wheelbase of 2871mm. It is equipped with 1.4T and 2.0T turbocharged engines, with maximum power outputs of 110kw and 137kw respectively, and is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
I've been driving a Passat for several years, and the charging ports are mainly inside the center armrest. In newer models, the USB ports are hidden inside the armrest with a cover—just lift the lid to see them. For older models, check the bottom of the storage compartment under the center console, as some versions have a USB port there. Rear passengers don’t need to worry either, as many trims feature a dual USB port below the rear air vents. If you want to use the cigarette lighter port, it’s under the round cover in front of the gearshift—just open it to plug in a car charger. If you still can’t find it, check the glove box—though rare, some model years have a spare port hidden there.
