Where is the Charcoal Canister Located in the Classic Focus?

Inside the right rear wheel fender, after removing the tire and the fender, you will see the vent pipe of the charcoal canister. Follow the pipe to locate the canister. Detailed symptoms of a damaged car charcoal canister: Gasoline smell inside the car or around the vehicle: If the car's charcoal canister is damaged, the adsorbed fuel vapors inside the canister will directly escape into the air, causing a gasoline smell inside the car or around the vehicle. Fluctuating idle speed: If the air inlet or filter of the charcoal canister is clogged, the adsorbed fuel vapors inside the canister will have difficulty being drawn into the cylinder by the intake manifold's negative pressure, resulting in fluctuating idle speed. Engine starting difficulty: Since the charcoal canister solenoid valve remains open all the time, the intake pipe will be filled with fuel vapors. When the engine starts, the overly rich combustible mixture will cause difficulty in starting the engine or even stalling. Fuel vapor leakage: If the charcoal canister solenoid valve remains closed all the time, the adsorbed and stored fuel vapors in the canister cannot be released, leading to increased pressure in the fuel tank and ultimately causing fuel vapors to leak from the fuel cap pressure relief valve.
