Where is the CD player in the Crosstour?

The CD player in the Crosstour is located below the car's multimedia screen. The CD player can be used to play audio and video songs. Taking the 2016 Crosstour as an example, it belongs to the mid-size car category with body dimensions of 4995mm in length, 1900mm in width, and 1560mm in height, a wheelbase of 2795mm, a fuel tank capacity of 70 liters, and a curb weight of 1715kg. The 2016 Crosstour features a double-wishbone independent front suspension and a multi-link independent rear suspension. It is equipped with a 2.4L naturally aspirated engine, delivering a maximum horsepower of 197PS, a maximum power of 145kW, and a maximum torque of 222Nm, paired with a 5-speed automatic transmission.
I've been driving the Crosstour for years, and the CD player is located right in the center of the dashboard, in the multimedia control area to the right of the steering wheel. Look below the audio panel for a small rectangular door with a CD logo, press it and the disc tray will pop out. Special note: for models after 2014, the CD slot might be hidden under the edge of that large center screen, so you'll need to bend down to see it. By the way, it's best not to change discs when driving on bumpy roads. Once, my disc got stuck when I tried to change it while going over a speed bump. Nowadays, I mostly use Bluetooth to connect my phone for music—it's much more convenient than CDs, especially since discs can easily get scratched.
I know the Crosstour well. The CD player isn't in the glove box or the rear seats - it's right on the center console by the driver's right hand. Specifically, it's below the air vents, among that row of buttons next to the hazard light switch. You can reach the CD controls without taking your right hand off the steering wheel. I recommend cleaning dust off discs before loading them - once I got an error because dust got in. If you can't find the slot, check page 73 of the owner's manual for diagrams. This CD player supports MP3 format discs, making it easy to burn your own music. Though honestly, USB is so much more convenient these days - even us old-timers rarely use CDs anymore.
