The carbon canister of the Audi A4L is located inside the left rear body panel. Function of the carbon canister: The carbon canister is usually installed between the fuel tank and the engine. The fuel evaporation emission control system directs these vapors into the combustion process and prevents them from being released into the atmosphere. The activated carbon canister storage device plays a crucial role in this process. Working principle of the carbon canister: Activated carbon has an adsorption function. When the car is running or turned off, gasoline vapors from the fuel tank enter the upper part of the activated carbon canister through the pipeline, while fresh air enters from the lower part of the canister. After the engine is turned off, the gasoline vapors mix with fresh air inside the canister and are stored in the activated carbon canister.
