Where is the carbon canister located in the Magotan?

Magotan's carbon canister is located between the engine and the fuel tank. Since gasoline is a volatile liquid, the fuel tank often contains vapor at normal temperatures. The fuel evaporation emission control system is designed to direct these vapors into the combustion process and prevent them from escaping into the atmosphere. The activated carbon canister storage device plays a crucial role in this process. Here are some relevant details: 1. Due to the adsorption properties of activated carbon, when the car is running or turned off, gasoline vapors from the fuel tank enter the upper part of the activated carbon canister through piping, while fresh air enters from the lower part. After the engine is turned off, gasoline vapors mix with fresh air inside the canister and are stored there. When the engine is started, the electromagnetic valve of the fuel evaporation purification device, located between the activated carbon canister and the intake manifold, opens, allowing the gasoline vapors in the activated carbon canister to be drawn into the intake manifold for combustion. 2. Gasoline is a volatile fuel, and the fuel in the tank can quickly evaporate, increasing the internal pressure of the tank. When the pressure reaches a certain level, it can become hazardous. To balance the pressure, initial solutions involved designing the fuel cap as a pressure relief valve, which would open when pressure exceeded a certain value, releasing gasoline vapors into the atmosphere. Later, for fuel conservation and environmental protection, the carbon canister was introduced. The interior of the carbon canister is filled with highly adsorbent activated carbon. Instead of being released into the atmosphere, excess fuel vapors from the tank are directed into the activated carbon canister via a tube. The activated carbon adsorbs the fuel vapors, and when the car is in operation, the activated carbon canister's electromagnetic valve opens at the appropriate time to reintroduce the absorbed fuel vapors into the intake manifold, achieving both fuel savings and environmental protection.
I've driven a Magotan for several years and am quite familiar with the location of its carbon canister. Generally speaking, the carbon canister is located at the rear of the chassis, near the right rear side of the fuel tank. To be more specific, it's positioned in front of the right rear wheel on the chassis, approximately next to the spare tire well. Since its design needs to consider fuel vapor collection, it must be close to the fuel tank. My 2018 model has it in this location - you can see the pipeline interface leading to the underside of the car by lifting the rear seat cushion. However, there might be slight variations across different model years; for instance, older models might be positioned closer to the exhaust pipe. If you're checking it yourself, it's best to use a lift and look for the black box near the fuel tank when under the car. During regular maintenance, don't forget to remind your mechanic to inspect the carbon canister pipelines, as blockages can affect fuel consumption.
