Where is the car's cabin air filter located?

Some car cabin air filters are located under the front windshield, covered by a drainage trough cover. To replace the filter, first open the engine hood, remove the clips securing the drainage trough, and then dismantle the trough to reveal the cabin air filter. Other cabin air filters are positioned in the storage compartment under the front windshield on the passenger side, making them extremely convenient to access - simply remove the storage compartment to see the filter inside. The cabin air filter functions to purify incoming air by filtering out impurities, fine particles, pollen, bacteria, industrial exhaust, dust and other contaminants that could otherwise enter and damage the air conditioning system.
