Where is the car clutch located in a vehicle?

Car clutch is located inside the flywheel housing between the engine and transmission, with the clutch assembly secured to the rear plane of the flywheel by screws. Generally, manual transmission vehicles have three pedals arranged from left to right as: clutch pedal, brake pedal, and accelerator pedal. The left foot controls the clutch pedal while the right foot operates the accelerator and brake. The working principle of a car clutch involves transmitting engine torque to the driven plate through friction between the flywheel, pressure plate, and contact surface of the driven plate. When the driver depresses the clutch pedal, mechanical components transmit this action causing the diaphragm spring's large end to push the pressure plate backward, thereby separating the driven section from the driving section.
