Where is the Car Antifreeze Filler Port Located?

The car antifreeze filler port is located inside the car radiator, also known as the heat exchanger, which is a key component of the car's cooling system. The radiator's function is to dissipate heat. The coolant absorbs heat in the water jacket, flows to the radiator where the heat is dissipated, and then returns to the water jacket to circulate, achieving temperature regulation as part of the car engine. Antifreeze is a coolant containing special additives, primarily used in liquid-cooled engine cooling systems. It offers excellent properties such as preventing freezing in winter, boiling in summer, and protecting against scale and corrosion year-round. It is crucial to pay attention to the quality of the antifreeze used. If the antifreeze is of poor quality or even counterfeit, it will fail to perform its intended functions.
When I first started driving, I also couldn't figure out where the coolant filler was, but later I got the hang of it. It's usually in the engine compartment, and you can see it when you open the hood. There's a plastic tank, semi-transparent or white, with the word "COOLANT" or a thermometer-like icon on the cap. The location varies by car, but it's mostly near or in front of the radiator. Make sure the vehicle is cool when adding coolant, as opening the cap on a hot engine can spray hot water and cause burns. The fluid level should be between the MIN and MAX marks; too low can cause engine overheating. Regular checks are important, especially before seasonal changes. If you can't find it, the manual has diagrams to avoid adding the wrong type and causing corrosion issues.
