The cabin air filter of Dongfeng Fengxing S500 is located under the front windshield, covered by a drainage trough. To replace the filter, first open the engine hood and remove the clips securing the drainage trough. After dismantling the trough, the cabin air filter will be visible. The cabin air filter can absorb moisture, soot, ozone, odors, carbon oxides, SO2, CO2, and other substances from the air, preventing the car windows from fogging up and ensuring clear visibility for the driver, thereby enhancing driving safety. Remember to install the new filter with the arrow pointing in the direction of airflow to avoid putting it in backward.
