Where is the cabin air filter located on the Peugeot 4008?

The cabin air filter of the Peugeot 4008 is located on the left side under the glove compartment, near the center area. To access it, you need to remove the left footwell panel on the passenger side and the fastener panel beneath the glove compartment. The Peugeot 4008 is a compact SUV with body dimensions of 4510mm in length, 1850mm in width, and 1628mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2730mm. It is equipped with a 1.6T 170 horsepower L4 turbocharged engine, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission, delivering a maximum power of 125 kW and a maximum torque of 250 Nm. The front suspension features a MacPherson strut independent suspension, while the rear suspension uses a torsion beam non-independent suspension.
I've changed the cabin air filter of my Peugeot 4008 many times, which is located behind the glove box on the passenger side. During removal, you need to gently press open the limit rods on both sides first, then the entire glove box can be taken off. Behind that long rectangular cover inside is where the cabin air filter lives. Remember to align the arrow on the new filter with the airflow direction inside the car - installing it backwards will significantly reduce filtration efficiency. It's actually not difficult to DIY, though the crouching position can be tough on your back. It's a good opportunity to clean up accumulated parking tickets in the glove box too. I recommend changing it twice a year during spring and autumn, especially in northern areas with heavy poplar fluff seasons when filters clog quickly and you'll notice significantly reduced airflow from the AC.
