Great Wall Motors WEY VV7's cabin air filter is located beneath the glove compartment on the passenger side. The owner needs to remove two screws (left and right) on the footwell light panel below the glove box, loosen the cover plate, disconnect the footwell light connector, and remove the cover. Then open the velcro on the inner side of the center console to reveal the cabin air filter cover. Opening this cover will expose the cabin air filter. Additional details are as follows: 1. The cabin air filter functions like human lungs. When the external air circulation is activated, it filters out microscopic particles invisible to the naked eye such as dust and pollen, as well as unpleasant odors, ensuring clean air enters the vehicle. If the filter becomes excessively dirty and loses its filtration capability, these invisible bacteria and microdust will be blown into the cabin through the AC vents and inhaled into passengers' lungs. 2. Poor maintenance of the cabin air filter can lead to significant dust and dirt accumulation on components like the light filter plate, radiator, evaporator, and fin surfaces, causing airflow blockage. This results in reduced cooling/heating efficiency, increased power consumption, elevated noise levels, and shortened AC system lifespan.
