The cabin air filter in the old Mazda 3 is located inside the fuse box on the passenger side. Normally, it should be replaced every 10,000 kilometers or approximately once a year. Taking the 2014 Mazda 3 as an example, it is a compact car with body dimensions of 4582mm in length, 1795mm in width, and 1458mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2700mm. It has a fuel tank capacity of 51 liters and a trunk capacity of 419 liters. The 2014 Mazda 3 is equipped with a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine, delivering a maximum horsepower of 117 PS and a maximum torque of 148 Nm, paired with a 6-speed manual transmission.
I just replaced the AC filter on my old 2007 Mazda 3 the other day. The design is kinda anti-human engineering - you have to remove the glove box first. Sit in the passenger seat and look down below the glove box, you'll see three screws. Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove them. Then press both sides of the glove box inward with your hands, and the whole box can be taken off. Look inside and you'll see a black plastic cover with a small clip - that's the filter cover. The filter slides in horizontally, make sure the arrow points toward the front of the car. Before installing the new filter, it's best to shine a flashlight into the air duct. My old car had accumulated tons of leaves and dust inside - I had to vacuum for quite a while to clean it all out.
