Where is the cabin air filter located in the Great Wall Haval H5?

Not all models of the Great Wall Haval H5 are equipped with a cabin air filter. Haval H5 models before 2011 (including the 2011 model) do not have a cabin air filter. Starting from the second half of 2012, the Haval H5 began to be equipped with an air conditioning system that includes a cabin air filter. For Haval H5 models with a cabin air filter, the filter is located inside the glove compartment on the passenger side. The Haval H5 is equipped with two types of engines: a 2.0-liter turbocharged diesel engine and a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine. The 2.0-liter turbocharged diesel engine has a maximum power output of 110 kW and a maximum torque of 320 Nm, while the 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine has a maximum power output of 140 kW and a maximum torque of 250 Nm.
I've been driving the Great Wall Haval H5 for several years and really like this car. The location of the cabin air filter isn't complicated—it's usually behind the glove compartment on the passenger side, and it's not difficult to remove. First, you need to open the glove box, where there might be plastic clips or screws securing it; gently unscrew or press them, but don't use too much force to avoid breaking the clips. Once removed, the filter housing will be right there—open it, take out the old filter, and put in the new one, making sure to align the arrow direction correctly. I recommend DIY replacement—buy a good carbon fiber filter online for just a few dozen yuan, much cheaper than the original. Replace the filter every six months or 10,000 km to keep the air clean, especially during humid and dusty summers, preventing odors and allergies. Learning these small maintenance tasks over time saves money on repairs and gives you a sense of achievement, like a tech-savvy expert. Note that the exact position may vary slightly by model, but post-2010 versions are mostly like this—just check your car manual to confirm.
