Where is the cabin air filter located in the Geely Binyue?

Geely Binyue's cabin air filter is located behind the glove compartment on the passenger side. When driving with the air conditioning on, the vehicle draws in outside air into the cabin. However, the air contains various particles such as dust, pollen, soot, abrasive particles, ozone, odors, nitrogen oxides, sulfur dioxide, carbon dioxide, benzene, etc. The cabin air filter helps filter these airborne contaminants. As the first SUV model built on BMA architecture, the Geely Binyue is equipped with a 1.5T three-cylinder engine jointly developed by Geely and Volvo, delivering maximum power of 177 horsepower and peak torque of 255 N·m, paired with a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission. The vehicle also comes with abundant intelligent safety features and L2 autonomous driving assistance technology.
Having driven the Geely Binyue for many years, I know the location of the cabin air filter like the back of my hand. It's hidden behind the glove compartment on the passenger side, making it quite convenient to access. First, open and empty the glove compartment, then locate the small clips on both sides. Press them firmly to allow the glove box to fully descend and remove it. Behind it, you'll find a rectangular plastic cover, usually secured with clips or screws. Open it to pull out the old filter and replace it with a new one. I personally replace it once a year or after every 12,000 kilometers driven. Opting for an activated carbon filter is effective—it filters PM2.5 and reduces odors inside the car. Not replacing it for a long time can lead to dust and bacteria buildup, potentially causing respiratory issues and affecting driving comfort. After replacement, the air conditioning blows stronger and is more energy-efficient, saving fuel. For beginners, it's advisable to check the manual or watch a tutorial video first. The job is simple and safe, requiring only your hands as tools.
