The cabin air filter of the Citroen C4 is located under the windshield on the passenger side. It can be accessed by removing the windshield lower edge drainage channel. The cabin air filter absorbs dust particles, alleviates respiratory discomfort, reduces irritation for allergy sufferers, enhances driving comfort, and protects the air conditioning cooling system. The Citroen C4 is a compact sedan under the Citroen brand, with a body length of 4675mm, width of 1780mm, height of 1500mm, and a wheelbase of 2710mm. The Citroen C4 is equipped with two engine options: a 1.2-liter turbocharged engine and a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine. The 1.2-liter turbocharged engine delivers a maximum power of 136 horsepower and a peak torque of 230 Nm, with maximum torque available between 1750 to 3500 rpm and maximum power at 5500 rpm. The 1.6-liter turbocharged engine produces a maximum power of 167 horsepower and a peak torque of 245 Nm, with maximum torque available between 1400 to 4000 rpm and maximum power at 6000 rpm.

I remember helping my friend with his Citroen C4's cabin air filter before, which is located behind the glove compartment on the passenger side. First, you need to open the glove compartment and find the plastic clips on both sides. Press them firmly towards the middle to remove the entire glove compartment. Then, you'll see a rectangular plastic cover with two small clips—just press them with your fingers to open it. The filter is tucked inside that slot. When removing it, pay attention to the arrow direction marked on the side of the filter, and make sure to insert the new one in the same orientation. With summer approaching, it's a good idea to replace it, otherwise, turning on the AC will just blow out musty smells and dust, which isn't good for your health.

I've replaced the C4's cabin air filter several times myself, and it's located inside the glove compartment on the passenger side. First, open the door and sit in the passenger seat, then crouch down to look at the bottom of the glove compartment. You'll see a protrusion on each side. Squeeze both protrusions inward simultaneously until you hear a click, and the glove compartment will drop down. Directly facing you, there's a gray cover panel. Insert your fingers to release the clips, and once the panel is removed, you'll see the white accordion-style filter. Make sure not to buy the wrong size for the new filter, and when installing, ensure the arrow points toward the rear of the car. I make it a habit to replace it every spring, and cleaning it often reveals a lot of leaves and dead insects.

The location of the Citroën C4's cabin air filter is quite easy to find—it's right behind the glove compartment in front of the passenger seat. When operating, avoid forcing the glove box open. First, use your knee to support the bottom, then press both sides of the glove box inward with your hands and pull downward, and the entire box will drop down. Next, there's a plastic panel about 15 cm long; pry open the two plastic clips with your fingernails to remove the filter. The whole process takes about ten minutes without any tools, saving you over 200 yuan compared to going to a repair shop. Remember to wear gloves during the operation, as the plastic burrs can easily prick your hands.
