Where is the cabin air filter located in an older Sonata model?

Older Sonata models have the cabin air filter positioned behind the glove compartment on the passenger side, which requires removal of the glove box for access. To locate it, pull open the glove compartment to reveal clips on both sides. Unscrew these clips, then lower the glove box downward. Inside, you'll find a black plastic panel approximately 20 centimeters long and 5 centimeters wide. Pinch both sides of this panel to remove it, exposing the cabin air filter. The Sonata is a midsize sedan designed by Hyundai engineers drawing upon extensive experience, with dimensions of 4747mm in length, 1820mm in width, and 1440mm in height, featuring a 2890mm wheelbase. Regarding safety features, the new Sonata comes standard with dual front airbags, side airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP electronic stability program, emergency brake alert system, tire pressure monitoring, and rear parking sensors.
