Where is the cabin air filter located in a Volkswagen?

In the Volkswagen Passat, the cabin air filter is located beneath the glove compartment on the passenger side. There is an external cover panel that needs to be removed by unscrewing two plastic screw fasteners. Once the panel is removed, you will see a rectangular cover for the cabin air filter. Pull it horizontally following the arrow direction to remove it. Additional information: 1. Maintenance: If the filter is dirty, clean it by blowing compressed air from the opposite side. Hold the air nozzle about 5 cm away from the filter and use 500 kPa pressure for approximately 2 minutes. The cabin air filter tends to accumulate dust easily, so simply blowing away loose dust with compressed air is sufficient. 2. Precautions: The cabin air filter is prone to collecting dust, so use compressed air to remove surface dust. Over time, the activated carbon filtration function of the cabin air filter diminishes, so it's recommended to visit a 4S dealership for replacement.
