Magotan's buzzer is located inside the plastic interior trim panel of the right rear door frame, and is generally marked with the letters H or HA on the circuit. The buzzer is an integrated electronic alarm device powered by DC voltage, primarily used to remind drivers and passengers whether they have fastened their seat belts. The Magotan is a mid-size car launched by FAW-Volkswagen, with dimensions of 4865mm in length, 1832mm in width, and 1471mm in height, and a wheelbase of 2871mm. It is equipped with two turbocharged engines, a 1.4T and a 2.0T, with maximum power outputs of 110kw and 137kw respectively, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.

As a seasoned driver, I've disassembled the dashboard of three generations of Magotans. The buzzer is hidden inside the instrument cluster assembly behind the steering wheel, positioned near the left side of the cluster's back. Volkswagen's design is quite compact; you need to remove the upper cover of the instrument cluster to see that black sound emitter, which is about the size of a fingernail. The reverse radar's buzzer is located inside the left trim panel of the trunk. Last time I helped my son inspect it, we found the sound was muffled—turns out this little thing was blocked by debris. The new B8L's buzzer is more integrated, possibly combined with the BCM (Body Control Module). It's easy to break the clips if you try to disassemble it yourself, so I recommend getting a professional to handle it.

When the alarm sound of my 2018 Magotan became quieter, the 4S technician told me that the buzzers are mainly distributed in three locations: there's a safety warning buzzer inside the steering column cover at the bottom of the steering wheel, a seatbelt reminder sounder hidden near the brake pedal under the center console, and one that's often overlooked—a parking radar buzzer installed behind the right inner trim panel in the trunk. For older vehicles, special attention should be paid to the wire harness connectors near the hood switch. Last time, my neighbor's car had a parking buzzer failure due to oxidized connectors. Those with strong DIY skills can remove the sill trim to check the wiring themselves, but be cautious of the airbag connectors.

Buzzers are not centrally installed. The warning buzzer on the driver's side is usually located behind the instrument panel, near the firewall, and requires removing the LCD instrument cluster to access it. The door buzzer is typically integrated into the door control module—based on my experience, you'll find it as a silver square with heat dissipation holes after removing the door panel. The reverse buzzer in the left inner lining of the trunk is the easiest to replace, but you'll need to remove the foam tray holding the trunk tools first. The new Magotan has started using digital simulated sounds, with even more concealed hardware locations.
