Where is the blower resistor located in the Nissan X-Trail?

In the front passenger side, on the glove box. It is installed on the air conditioning air box. The blower resistor mainly controls the speed of the blower. If the blower resistor is faulty, the blower speed will remain the same across different gear positions. After the blower resistor fails, the air volume control knob loses its speed adjustment function. Below is relevant information: Blower: The blower is an important component in the automotive air conditioning system and is also a part that is very prone to damage. Automotive Air Conditioning: Whether for cooling or heating, the automotive air conditioning system cannot function without the blower. The principle of automotive air conditioning is actually quite simple. During heating, the high-temperature coolant from the engine flows through the heater core. This allows the heater core to heat the air delivered by the blower, enabling the air conditioning vents to blow warm air.
I just fixed the blower issue on my own X-Trail. The resistor location depends on the model year. For pre-2009 X-Trail models, the resistor is located behind the glove compartment on the passenger side. After removing the glove box, you'll see a connector with a silver metal piece attached to the blower housing - that's it. For post-2014 models, the resistor is directly integrated into the side of the blower assembly, positioned deeper where you can't reach it without removing the center console trim panels. If you're doing it yourself, you'll need to remove three plastic trim panels. Remember to disconnect the battery first - never work on live circuits. Otherwise, you might burn out the resistor, which would cost more to repair later. It's recommended to wear anti-static gloves during operation. When replacing, match the resistor model exactly with the old part - even a slight size difference in aftermarket parts may prevent proper installation.
