Where is the best position to install ETC?

For passenger cars, the ETC device is generally installed in the upper middle section of the front windshield. For large vehicles such as trucks and buses, the installation position is on the upper part. The suitable installation height should be no less than 1.2 meters and no more than 2.5 meters, with an installation angle between 30 to 90 degrees. For vehicles with factory-installed or aftermarket explosion-proof film, which may affect microwave communication signal transmission, the device should be installed in the microwave transponder zone. ETC stands for Electronic Toll Collection system. To apply for ETC, the vehicle owner needs to provide original and photocopies of their valid ID card and vehicle registration certificate. If applying through an agent, the agent's valid ID card is also required. The photocopy of the vehicle registration certificate should include the page with the most recent annual inspection stamp. A bank card for deducting highway tolls is needed, and the vehicle must be registered under an individual aged between 18 and 60. Documents required for company vehicles: An introduction letter from the vehicle owner (with official seal); Copy of the organization code certificate or business license (with official seal); Original ID card of the agent; Original vehicle registration certificate; The vehicle that needs ETC installation. Here are some important notes for ETC installation: Do not obstruct the driver's view. The best position is behind the rearview mirror: Many car models have windshields with a steep incline, which can reduce the driver's field of vision. Installing the ETC device without considering this may increase blind spots. Installing it on the right side behind the rearview mirror can help avoid obstructing the view. Do not interfere with charging: The ETC device requires power but generally doesn't need charging or battery replacement, as it has a built-in solar panel for self-charging. Therefore, avoid installing it on the blackened areas of the windshield or positions that might block the solar panel. Once installed, do not remove it arbitrarily: The adhesive pad has an anti-tamper switch. When the device is installed on the windshield, the switch is pressed in. If removed, the switch will pop out and lock the device, requiring an ETC service center to unlock it. This feature prevents multiple vehicles from sharing one device. Points to note when using ETC:
