Where is the battery located in the Wuling Hongguang?

The battery of the Wuling Hongguang is located under the hood, installed at the upper right corner of the engine. Pull the hood release lever located on the left side of the driver's leg area to lift the engine hood upwards. Once the engine hood is opened, you can see the car battery. The Wuling Hongguang is the first independently developed crossover product between commercial vehicles and passenger cars launched by SAIC-GM-Wuling. The Wuling Hongguang's balance between power and fuel efficiency, as well as its performance in handling and safety, has overturned the traditional impression of commercial vehicles. The Wuling Hongguang adopts the TUD (TOTAL USED DESIGN) design concept to ensure a reasonable structural layout of the entire vehicle.
When I first got my Wuling Hongguang, I was particularly curious about the battery location. Lifting the hood, I found it right away—inside a black battery box near the front firewall, on the right side toward the driver's seat. The battery is placed here for easy maintenance and to avoid splashing water from the road. At the time, I also checked the electrode contacts, which had a bit of rust, so I cleaned them up. Now, during the transition between winter and summer, batteries tend to age more quickly, so I make it a habit to check the fluid level monthly and top it up with distilled water if needed. The placement is quite reasonable, and replacing the battery is simple—just a 10-minute job—but don’t tamper with the high-voltage parts; safety comes first. Since I drive the car daily, battery health directly affects startup, so don’t overlook the small details to avoid the hassle of breaking down midway.
