Where is the auto start-stop switch for the Volkswagen New Lavida?

The auto start-stop switch for the Volkswagen New Lavida is located in the middle button area of the center console, using a mechanical button. The auto start-stop function of the New Lavida is enabled by default, and you can simply press the corresponding button to turn it off when needed. The auto start-stop function automatically shuts off the engine when the car is temporarily stopped and restarts the engine when the accelerator is pressed, typically used when waiting at traffic lights. The Volkswagen New Lavida is a mid-cycle facelift model with dimensions of 4605mm in length, 1765mm in width, and 1460mm in height, and a wheelbase of 2610mm. The New Lavida features a new family front grille, with slender headlights connected to the grille, presenting a more stable and moderate design style. Depending on the configuration model, the New Lavida offers different grille designs: the Comfort model adds vertical decorative strips to the grille, similar to the current Passat; the Luxury model changes the chrome horizontal strips to a double horizontal strip design, appearing more elegant.
That day when I was driving, I suddenly wanted to turn off the auto start-stop function. After looking around, I found it on the lower left side of the center console, among that row of buttons below the instrument panel. There was a circle with the letter A and an OFF icon. This design is quite thoughtful, as you can easily reach it with your left thumb while driving. Speaking of the start-stop feature, it really saves fuel in city traffic jams. However, I usually turn it off in advance when driving through waterlogged areas on rainy days to avoid the engine automatically shutting off and restarting, which could damage it. Also, if you've replaced the battery, remember to ask the technician to match the system, otherwise this function might malfunction.
