The auto start-stop button on the Q50L is located on the left side of the driver's seat. The auto start-stop system automatically shuts off the engine when the vehicle comes to a temporary stop, such as at a traffic light, and restarts the engine when it's time to move forward again. The Q50L is a mid-size car under Dongfeng Infiniti, featuring an independent double-wishbone front suspension with a stabilizer bar and a multi-link independent rear suspension with a stabilizer bar. The dimensions of the car are 4867mm in length, 1823mm in width, and 1456mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2898mm. In terms of power, the Q50L is equipped with a 2.0T turbocharged engine, paired with a 7-speed automatic transmission.

Friends who drive the Infiniti Q50L are probably used to the auto start-stop feature. I always turn it off right after starting the car—the button is located in that row on the left side of the steering wheel. If you look down at the lower part of the center console, near the driver’s knee area, there’s a cluster of buttons. The one in the middle with the letter 'A' inside a circle is the start-stop switch—press it, and the dashboard will show a system-off prompt. The design here is quite practical, allowing easy operation without lifting your hand, which is especially convenient during heavy traffic when you need to toggle it frequently. However, it might occasionally malfunction in cold weather since it requires the battery temperature to meet certain conditions to activate.

Speaking of the Q50L's start-stop function, I really like the design and placement of its button, located in the control area just below the left side of the steering wheel, right next to the door lock button. The button is a small square with a circular arrow symbol in the center, making it easy to locate by touch. Last time a friend borrowed my car, they spent ages looking for it, but Infiniti actually placed this function button in this area specifically for blind operation while driving, which is much more practical than some cars that hide it in the center console screen menu. In summer, when the air conditioning is on, remember to turn off the start-stop function, otherwise the compressor restart can cause a jerky sensation.

The auto start-stop button for the Q50L is located on the center console panel next to the driver's left leg. Simply press the circular arrow icon to operate it. This design makes it very convenient to turn off the auto start-stop while driving without needing to divert attention to the screen. If you don't drive often, you can leave it as is, but it's advisable to manually turn it off when driving through waterlogged areas on rainy days to prevent potential engine damage from unexpected restarts.

Once when I was driving the Q50L to pick up my child from school, I found the auto start-stop wasn't working. Later I realized the button is located at the bottom center console area on the left side of the steering wheel - it's the one with a circular symbol. Infiniti deliberately made this frequently used function a standalone button, unlike some cars that bury it in system menus, which shows their engineers truly understand driving experience. It takes some getting used to the position at first, but once familiar, it's easily operable with one hand.

I noticed that the auto start-stop button of the Q50L is very prominent, located in the button area under the center console on the driver's side, with an icon of the letter A inside a circle. After three years of use, I find this position the most user-friendly—just a quick press while fastening the seatbelt can turn it off. New car owners can check the manual for confirmation, but in actual use, I found it much more convenient than touchscreen controls, especially when driving on highways at night, as turning off the start-stop doesn't distract attention.

Can 92 and 95 Octane Gasoline Be Mixed Together?

92 octane and 95 octane gasoline should not be mixed. If you accidentally fill up with the wrong gasoline grade occasionally, simply switch back to the correct grade after using it up. However, prolonged use of the wrong gasoline grade can have the following effects: For vehicles designed for lower octane fuel, accidentally using higher octane gasoline will not cause damage. However, the increase in octane rating will alter the fuel's ignition point, leading to delayed combustion in the engine. This results in reduced engine power output and thermal efficiency, with the actual driving experience being poorer performance; For vehicles designed for higher octane fuel, using lower octane gasoline can cause engine knocking. Because the octane rating is significantly lower, the reduced ignition point causes premature ignition during the compression stroke. If the fuel combusts before the spark plug fires, resistance occurs during the upward stroke. This resistance makes the engine run very unevenly. If the knocking is imperceptible, it may only increase noise without obvious engine damage. However, noticeable knocking indicates severe engine conditions, where vibrations not only affect driving stability but also cause abnormal wear on pistons and cylinders, potentially leading to cylinder scoring in severe cases. Besides checking the recommended gasoline grade in the vehicle's manual, you can also find it labeled on the fuel filler cap. Typically, the gasoline grade can also be determined by the engine's compression ratio. Vehicles with compression ratios between 8.6-9.9 should use 92 octane gasoline, while those between 10.0-11.5 should use 95 octane. Higher compression ratios may require 98 octane. However, with modern technologies, the compression ratio alone cannot determine the required gasoline grade, as high-compression engines can be tuned to use lower octane fuel. Other factors, such as ignition timing, turbocharging technology, and Atkinson cycle technology, also play a role. Generally, higher octane gasoline has a higher octane rating and better anti-knock properties. 92 octane gasoline contains 92% isooctane and 8% n-heptane, while 95 octane gasoline contains 95% isooctane and 5% n-heptane.

What is a Horizontally Opposed Engine?

Horizontally opposed engine refers to an engine where the pistons are evenly distributed on both sides of the crankshaft and move horizontally left and right. This design reduces the overall height and length of the engine, lowers the vehicle's center of gravity, and makes driving more stable. The horizontally opposed engine is installed on the vehicle's centerline, and the torque generated by the pistons on both sides cancels each other out, reducing vibration during driving, improving engine speed, and reducing noise. The characteristics of a horizontally opposed engine include: 1. The lateral vibration generated is easily absorbed by the mounts, achieving overall balance; 2. The piston movement is well balanced, ensuring smooth engine operation.

What are the reasons why a vehicle cannot accelerate?

The reasons why a vehicle cannot accelerate are: 1. Damaged spark plugs; 2. Poor fuel quality; 3. Unstable oil pressure. Precautions for pressing the accelerator pedal are: 1. Press and release the accelerator pedal gently, ensuring a smooth and gradual movement; 2. Releasing the clutch should be closely coordinated with pressing the accelerator pedal, with swift actions; 3. Choose the appropriate gear to keep the engine running mostly at medium speed and with a larger throttle opening to save fuel; 4. Before driving or turning off the engine, release the accelerator pedal first and avoid revving the engine abruptly. The working principle of the accelerator is: Pressing the accelerator pedal directly controls the throttle valve, increasing its opening, which allows more air to enter the engine. At this point, the ECU commands the fuel injection system to inject more fuel, causing the engine speed to rise and the vehicle to accelerate.
