Where is the Ambient Temperature Sensor Located in a Car

Car ambient temperature sensors are typically installed on the front bumper mounting bracket and are also a type of thermistor. A temperature sensor refers to a device that can sense temperature and convert it into a usable output signal. Temperature sensors are the core component of temperature measurement instruments and come in a wide variety. Based on measurement methods, they can be divided into two major categories: contact and non-contact types. According to the sensor material and electronic component characteristics, they are classified into thermal resistors and thermocouples. The function of the temperature sensor is to detect the ambient temperature outside the vehicle. The control system will determine the control method based on the difference between the outside temperature and the inside temperature. The temperature sensor can also provide the ECU with the temperature signal outside the vehicle cabin. The ECU compares this signal with the interior temperature signal to determine the temperature inside the vehicle cabin, meeting the needs of the occupants.
