Where is the air filter of the Kuga located?

The air filter of the Kuga is located on the left side of the fuse box under the front passenger seat. Screw holes can be observed on the cover, but no screws are actually used. It is secured only by clips on the plastic cover. Gently pry it open with a pry bar to reveal the air filter. The Kuga's body dimensions are 4524 mm in length, 1838 mm in width, and 1701 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2690 mm. The vehicle is equipped with either a 1.5T or 2.0T engine, with maximum output power of 181 kW and 245 kW respectively, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. The 2.0T model also features a four-wheel drive system. The interior is equipped with a 10-inch central control LCD display, embedded with a new Internet-based intelligent car system. The central control supports multi-touch and smartphone connectivity, enabling features such as remote vehicle start, online music, and intelligent food recommendations.
As an ordinary owner who has driven several Ford models, I'd like to share my experience. The cabin air filter is located behind the glove compartment on the passenger side, quite hidden but not difficult to replace. Last time I changed it, I first removed all the items from the glove box, then pressed the small clips on both sides, and the compartment dropped down, revealing a rectangular plastic cover. Opening the cover, the filter was slotted inside. When I took it out, it was covered with dust and new leaves - no wonder there was a musty smell in the car. DIY filter replacement is very cost-effective, with a new one costing less than a hundred yuan and easy to purchase online. I recommend checking it every six months, especially in heavily polluted urban areas. After replacement, the air becomes much fresher, which is better for health. If left unchanged for a long time, the AC may make strange noises and even affect cooling performance. The design location is reasonable, making it suitable for DIY beginners to try.
