Where is the air conditioning filter of the new Wuling Guang located?

The air conditioning filter of the new Wuling Guang is located inside the glove box. To replace it, there is a black plastic panel above the passenger footwell with two retractable clips. Remove the panel by pulling the clips, then disconnect the negative terminal of the battery. Next, remove the body control unit and its mounting bracket. After that, remove the panel on the left side of the passenger footwell, which is secured by four screws, and proceed with the installation. The dimensions of the new Wuling Guang are 3797mm in length, 1510mm in width, and 1835mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2500mm. The new Wuling Guang features a mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout, with a MacPherson strut independent front suspension and a leaf spring non-independent rear suspension.
The air filter for the Wuling Rongguang is usually hidden behind the glove compartment on the passenger side, based on my experience of searching for it several times in the car. You need to open the glove box first, then look for a small opening on the inner wall or the back of the box. Sometimes it's secured with clips, and you can gently pry it open to reveal the filter housing. Changing the filter is actually quite simple, but avoid disassembling parts randomly to prevent damage. The reason the filter is hidden in this location might be because it's conveniently positioned to allow air to enter from below the windshield, directly filtering out dust. I recommend checking it every year or so, as a clogged filter can cause unpleasant odors when the AC is on, affecting health—especially noticeable during summer when the AC is used more frequently. Remember to choose genuine replacement filters to avoid size mismatches. Pay attention to reduced airflow from the AC while driving, as this could indicate it's time to check the filter. Doing it yourself can save some money, but if you're unsure, it's better to seek professional help.
