Where is the air conditioning filter of the Mondeo located?

The air conditioning filter of the Mondeo is located on the right side of the driver's side accelerator pedal, and the accelerator pedal needs to be removed to access it. The function of the air conditioning filter is to filter the air entering the cabin from the outside, improving air cleanliness. Generally, the filtering material targets impurities in the air, including tiny particles, pollen, bacteria, industrial exhaust, and dust. The Mondeo is a mid-size sedan with dimensions of 4873mm in length, 1852mm in width, and 1470mm in height, and a wheelbase of 2850mm. The Mondeo features front-wheel drive, with a front suspension type of MacPherson independent suspension and a rear suspension type of multi-link independent suspension. The body structure is a unibody design.
The Mondeo's cabin air filter is located behind the glove compartment on the passenger side, a rather hidden spot in the design. I've changed it myself several times: first, empty the glove compartment, then press inward simultaneously on the clips on both sides with both hands, and the entire compartment comes down. You'll see a long black cover plate; pinch the clips at both ends and pull to reveal the old filter. Remember the direction of the arrow on the old filter, and insert the new one in the same orientation. The key point is not to install the filter backward—the arrow should point toward the interior of the car, otherwise the filtration efficiency will be reduced. Ford's design is much more convenient than models that require screw removal—it takes just ten minutes to do it yourself, saving about a hundred bucks in labor costs.
