Where is the accelerator pedal located in a car?

The accelerator pedal is located below the main driver's side control panel. In manual transmission vehicles, from left to right, they are the clutch, brake, and accelerator; in automatic transmission vehicles, the left pedal is the brake, and the right pedal is the accelerator. The accelerator, also known as the throttle or gas pedal, is the control device that regulates the engine's power output. The accelerator and brake pedals are placed side by side with the default assumption that the driver will use only their right foot to operate either the accelerator or brake for acceleration or deceleration. The main design purposes are: 1. The accelerator is used more frequently and is positioned on the outer right side for a more comfortable posture; 2. To facilitate quick driver response, the correct operation method involves pivoting the right heel and using the ball of the foot to press the pedals.
When I first started learning to drive, I also spent a long time looking for the accelerator. When you sit in the driver's seat and look down at your feet, the accelerator is the long pedal on the far right. Press down with the ball of your right foot to accelerate, and release to decelerate—never use your left foot randomly. If the accelerator feels sluggish during normal driving, it might be due to excessive carbon buildup or a stuck throttle cable. With electric vehicles, it's simpler—it's called the accelerator pedal, and while it feels similar to a regular car's, the acceleration is more responsive. Remember, in a three-pedal car, the one on the far right is the accelerator, and in a two-pedal automatic, it's also the one on the right.
