Guangzhou Honda Automobile Manufacturing Plant has a total of three factories: Huangpu Factory, Zengcheng Factory, and the Third Factory (Engine Factory). The following is an introduction to GAC Honda: 1. Introduction: GAC Honda Automobile Co., Ltd. (formerly Guangzhou Honda Automobile Co., Ltd., referred to as GAC Honda) was established on July 1, 1998. It is a joint venture formed by Guangzhou Automobile Group Co., Ltd. and Honda Motor Co., Ltd. of Japan, with each party holding a 50% stake. The cooperation period is 30 years. 2. Production: GAC Honda currently has two production bases: Huangpu Factory and Zengcheng Factory, with a combined production capacity of 480,000 vehicles per year and a total area of 1.6 million square meters. GAC Honda has a total of more than 8,000 employees. The main products currently produced by GAC Honda include seven series with over 30 models: the Avancier series SUVs, Accord series sedans, Odyssey multi-purpose series sedans, Lingpai series sedans, City series sedans, Fit series sedans, and the independent brand Everus series sedans.

I'm a native of Guangdong and drive an Accord myself, so I'm very familiar with this topic. GAC Honda produces them at their two major plants in Panyu and Zengcheng here in Guangzhou. I actually visited last year – the fully automated stamping workshop was particularly impressive, with a new vehicle rolling off the line every 75 seconds. Models like the Odyssey and Avancier you see on the roads mostly come from the Guangzhou base, with some even exported to the Middle East. But the Accord production line is the most advanced, featuring over a hundred welding robots.

Last time I accompanied my friend to pick up the Vezel, I heard about this from the experienced technician at the 4S store. Guangqi Honda's three production bases are all located within Guangdong Province, with the main one being the Guangzhou Development District factory. The Huangpu factory is still producing compact cars like the Fit. What's particularly interesting is that they've built their own dedicated railway line within the factory premises, allowing new cars to be directly shipped nationwide by rail. Those new cars you see in Hangzhou and Wuhan? They're actually transported there from the factories in Guangzhou.

I work with Honda models every day in my auto repair shop, and this brand's production system is truly impressive. All its core factories are concentrated in Guangzhou, operating three complete vehicle production lines. For instance, the second production line at the Zengcheng plant specializes in hybrid models, with many core components being directly produced within the factory complex. The recently launched e:NP1 electric vehicle is manufactured in a newly renovated welding workshop.

I remember watching a car documentary two years ago that mentioned the Guangzhou Honda factory as a typical model of Sino-Japanese joint venture. The entire plant is located in the eastern part of Guangzhou, and the newly built third factory can accommodate both pure electric and fuel-powered dual-line production. Their procurement manager once said that 75% of the parts suppliers are within 300 kilometers of the factory, and this cluster effect makes production capacity particularly stable.
