There are three production bases located in Sichuan, Changchun, and Tianjin. Sichuan FAW Toyota: Mainly produces the COASTER, LANDCRUISER Prado, and models like the LANDCRUISER Land Cruiser and PRIUS produced by the Changchun branch, which are SUVs and medium-sized buses. Sichuan FAW Toyota Motor Co., Ltd. is a Sino-foreign joint venture established by China FAW Group Corporation, Toyota Motor Corporation of Japan, and Toyota Tsusho Corporation. Sichuan FAW Toyota is Toyota's first complete vehicle project in China and currently the largest automotive joint venture project in Sichuan Province. Tianjin FAW Toyota: The predecessor of Tianjin FAW Toyota Motor Co., Ltd. was Tianjin Toyota Motor Co., Ltd., established in June 2000. In August 2002, FAW Group and Toyota Motor Corporation signed a strategic cooperation agreement at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, jointly setting a grand goal to achieve a 10% market share in China by 2010 through their cooperative projects. FAW Toyota (Changchun): Engine Co., Ltd. is a joint venture established by China FAW Group Corporation (hereinafter referred to as FAW) and Toyota Motor Corporation (hereinafter referred to as Toyota) for engine production. It was founded on March 25, 2004, and began producing the V6 engine (3.0L gasoline engine), representing Toyota's most advanced technology, on December 15, 2004, thus becoming Toyota's first V6 engine factory in China.
