Where Does Water Enter a Sedan From?

There are three main areas where water can enter a sedan: 1. Sunroof: The sunroof is located on the roof, and rainwater flows into the sunroof channel, then drains through drainage holes. These drainage tubes are typically hidden within the A and C pillars. If the sunroof drainage holes become clogged, accumulated water may overflow into the cabin. Another cause is the sealing rubber. If the rubber seal between the sunroof and the roof frame ages, water accumulation increases, and its waterproofing ability weakens, allowing water to seep into the cabin. 2. Doors: If the door drainage holes are blocked, the door seals are aged or loose, or the rubber rings around the bottom drainage holes are damaged, rainwater may not drain properly and could flow into the car's floor. 3. Chassis: The car chassis usually has drainage holes to allow water to escape after driving through water. If these holes are clogged with debris or the rubber rings around them are aged or missing, water can easily seep into the car after passing through water.
