The expressway passes through cities and counties including Shantou, Jieyang, Meizhou, Xingning, Longchuan, Dongyuan, Lianping, Wengyuan, Yingde, Huaiji, Hezhou, Pingle, Yangshuo, Lipu, Liuzhou, Hechi, Baise, Xingyi, Shilin, and Kunming. Expressways are multi-lane roads exclusively designed for directional and lane-segregated vehicle traffic, with full access control.
