Engine oil should be added through the engine oil filler port. Open the engine hood, unscrew the oil cap counterclockwise, and pour in the prepared engine oil. When adding engine oil, it is crucial to ensure that the oil type complies with the specifications set by the car manufacturer. Stop adding oil once the oil level reaches the full mark on the dipstick. After adding oil, park the car on a flat surface, wait until the car is completely stable, then pull out the dipstick to check if the oil level is within the normal range. The functions of engine oil: It separates the surfaces of relatively sliding parts to reduce wear; it carries heat back to the oil tank and then dissipates it into the air to help the radiator cool the engine; it circulates carbon deposits, sludge, and wear particles from engine parts back to the oil tank, flushing away dirt generated on the working surfaces of parts through the flow of the lubricating oil. Method for changing engine oil: Lift the vehicle with a jack; drain the old oil; remove the oil filter; install a new oil filter and add new engine oil.
