Kumho Tires are produced at the Nanjing plant, Nanjing TBR plant, Tianjin plant, and Changchun plant. Additionally, Kumho Tire Sales Co., Ltd. was established in Shanghai, primarily responsible for the sales of tires produced by the four major factories nationwide, achieving complete separation of production and sales. Kumho Tires boasts a comprehensive production line, covering various categories such as passenger car tires, commercial vehicle tires, and high-tech tires. Kumho Tires has a development history of over 50 years since the 1960s. It also operates four technology R&D centers globally, located in Gwangju, South Korea; Tianjin, China; Akron, USA; and Birmingham, UK. As of 2013, Kumho Tires produced approximately 6.5 million tires annually and exported tire products to over 22 countries and regions. As an internationally renowned tire manufacturer that entered the Chinese market nearly 20 years ago, Kumho Tires not only has a Shanghai sales headquarters that radiates nationwide but also established the Nanjing plant as early as 1994. On April 1, 2018, the Kumho Tires union in South Korea voted to finally agree to sell the company to China's Qingdao Doublestar.
