GT Radial tires are produced in China, as the company is an international tire manufacturer headquartered in Shanghai with multiple factories across the country. Adopting a multi-brand strategy, GT Radial offers a comprehensive and high-quality product lineup to meet market demands, with primary export markets being North America and Europe. Its products are sold in numerous countries and regions worldwide. Tires are circular elastic rubber products mounted on vehicles or machinery to roll on the ground. They operate under complex and demanding conditions, enduring various deformations, loads, forces, and temperature extremes during use. Therefore, tires must possess high load-bearing capacity, traction performance, and cushioning properties.

I've always been curious about tire brands and did some research on Giti's background. It's a Singaporean company, but its production bases are spread worldwide. China is the main production hub, with a particularly large factory in Wuhu, Anhui, for a significant portion of the output. There are also branch plants in Putian, Fujian and Chongqing, even production bases in Northeast China. Internationally, they've set up factories in Indonesia and the US. Last time I changed tires, the mechanic mentioned domestically produced Giti tires offer great value for money, with rubber compounds specially suited for our road conditions. Nowadays, many cars on the road use Giti tires. My own set has been running for over two years with truly reliable quality.

Last year, I replaced my tires with Giti ones, and I made sure to check the label during the replacement. The salesperson mentioned they were produced in Fujian, explaining that Giti has established five or six major factories in China, with Wuhu being the largest, for about a quarter of global production. Later, I found on their official website that they have a tropical tire production base in Indonesia, and their U.S. factory produces high-end series for that market. The set on my car comes from the standard domestic production line, with robust rubber that handles mountain roads without issues. It seems this globalized production layout indeed makes the products more reliable.

From a supply chain perspective, Giti Tire operates production in over 30 countries, with its core remaining in China. Originating from Wuhu, Anhui, the company now has factories spanning Fujian, Northeast China, and Chongqing. Their site selection strategy is particularly noteworthy - the Anhui facility benefits from proximity to rubber raw material sources, while Putian's coastal location facilitates exports. Recently, they've established a new plant in Indonesia specializing in high-temperature tires. Domestic production advantages include deeper understanding of local needs, such as reinforcing wear-resistant designs for complex road conditions.

GT Radial's factory layout is geographically strategic. The coastal Putian plant facilitates export logistics, while the Northeast plant specializes in winter tire R&D. The Wuhu main plant is perfectly positioned to serve nationwide distribution and raw material imports. They've even established a dedicated production line in Indonesia for tropical climate tires. With a decade of tire research experience, I've observed this zoned production model actually ensures consistent quality. Domestically produced tires are better adapted to China's complex road conditions, especially in rainy southern regions.

Speaking of Giti's development history, it established its first factory in China back in the 1990s. Wuhu, Anhui was the initial location, chosen to better serve the local market. Gradually, the company expanded to Fujian and Chongqing, and in recent years, it has set up new plants in Indonesia and the United States. This factory distribution reflects the company's strategic transformation. When I changed tires, I noticed the new models performed significantly better than those five years ago, thanks to their continuous optimization of production lines across different regions. Nowadays, domestic tires can fully compete with imported ones in terms of handling and durability.
