Most of GAC Trumpchi car engines are domestically produced. The first batch of GAC Trumpchi engines were imported from Italy, with Alfa Romeo as the main technology provider, primarily installed in GAC Trumpchi's initial vehicle models with relatively limited model variety. Later, GAC Trumpchi embarked on the path of independent engine development. GAC Trumpchi offers a variety of sedan and SUV models. Its SUV lineup includes models such as the GS5, GS7, and GS8. Taking the GS8 as an example, it is a mid-size SUV with dimensions of 4740mm in length, 1910mm in width, and 1775mm in height, and a wheelbase of 2720mm. In terms of power, the GS8 is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine, delivering a maximum power of 185 kW at 5250 rpm and a maximum torque of 390 Nm. This engine features DCVVT technology and direct fuel injection, utilizing an aluminum alloy cylinder head and a cast iron cylinder block.
