Starting from July 1, 2020, Xiamen will implement China 6 emission standards for light-duty vehicles. Here are the relevant details: According to the schedule, the China 6 emission standards will be implemented in two phases, 6a and 6b. Light-duty vehicles will implement the 6a standard from July 1, 2020, and the 6b standard from July 1, 2023. All motor vehicles produced, imported, or sold in Xiamen must comply with the requirements of each phase. Otherwise, they will not pass the pre-approval environmental review by the ecological environment department and cannot be registered with the traffic police department.
