The opening time of the Jiangyi Expressway is currently uncertain. The Jiangyi Expressway is a highway from Jiangdu to Yixing. The Jiangyi Expressway starts from the Zhengyi Hub at the intersection of the G2 Beijing-Shanghai Expressway and the G40 Shanghai-Xi'an Expressway, passes through the Wufengshan Yangtze River Bridge, and intersects with the S35 Taizhen Expressway, G42 Shanghai-Chengdu Expressway, S58 Shanghai-Changzhou Expressway, S38 Changhe Expressway, and S48 Shanghai-Yixing Expressway in sequence. The S39 Jiangyi Expressway is a highway that has not been fully completed and opened to traffic. One section has been completed, and two sections are under construction. The completed and opened section runs from the Port Hub through the Luoxi Hub to the Wujin High-tech Zone Hub. Facilities along the way: Dangang Hub, Danyang Xinqiao Toll Station, Xiaohuangshan Service Area, Menghe Toll Station, Chunjiang Toll Station, Luoxi Hub, Longcheng Avenue Toll Station, Zouqu Toll Station, Wujin Development Zone Toll Station, Yancheng Service Area, Wujin Toll Station, Wujin High-tech Zone Hub.
I remember the Jiangsu-Yizheng Expressway opened around 2020, but I'd need to check official records for the exact date. Back then, the news was everywhere, highlighting how it connected multiple cities in Jiangsu and significantly reduced travel time. Drivers in our area were thrilled after its opening—previously, traveling from Nanjing to Changzhou required detours, but now it's a direct one-hour trip, saving both fuel and hassle. The expressway's construction boosted the local economy, causing housing prices in small towns to soar and weekend travel to increase. A friendly reminder: while the expressway is a great convenience, don't speed just to save time—safety first! Regular maintenance checks are essential to prevent road damage and delays.
