The 15th generation Toyota Crown mass production version was globally launched on June 26, 2018. The Crown is a mid-to-large size sedan brand under the Toyota Group. The Toyota Crown first rolled off the production line in Japan on January 1, 1955, and has now reached its 15th generation. The domestic Crown models feature three engine options: 2.5L, 3.0L, and 4.3L. The first two are both V6 24-valve designs, while the 4.3L engine is a V8. Equipped with the Dual VVT-i dual intelligent variable valve timing system, the engines achieve significant improvements in intake efficiency, fuel economy, and power performance, delivering stronger horsepower. In terms of body dimensions: the 15th generation Toyota Crown measures 4,910 mm in length, 1,800 mm in width, 1,455 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,920 mm. The waistline is relatively smooth, and the B-pillars feature a blackened design. The interior design of the new generation Toyota Crown is relatively simple: it adopts a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel; features dual circular mechanical instrument clusters; the door panels on both sides are adorned with white leather trim, enhancing the visual appeal; the center console is equipped with two screens—one embedded touchscreen and one floating LCD screen. In terms of powertrain: for the Japanese market, the new generation Toyota Crown offers four engine options—2.0T, 2.5L, 2.5L hybrid, and 3.5L V6. In terms of exterior design: the new generation Toyota Crown undergoes bold styling changes, with the grille adopting a large inverted trapezoidal design, the intake grille featuring a mesh pattern, the headlights using a split design, the front bumper adorned with wing-shaped chrome strips, and the front fog lights on both sides featuring a circular design.

I've been following the Crown series for a long time, starting from the first generation in 1955, each generation is full of memories. The fifteenth-generation Crown was officially launched in Japan in July 2022, a few months later than previously predicted, mainly because Toyota was refining the new design and platform. It adopts the e-TNGA architecture, adding hybrid and pure electric versions, with more efficient and environmentally friendly power, and a more sporty exterior design. As a long-time fan, I find this generation change quite stunning, but it hasn't been fully launched in the Chinese market yet, possibly in the second half of 2023 or later, depending on Toyota's official announcement. If you're waiting, I suggest keeping an eye on the official website updates. This car is reliable, durable, and very comfortable to drive.

As someone who frequently follows car news, I've learned that the 15th-generation Crown made its debut in Japan in mid-2022. Toyota has optimized this model for the global market by adding intelligent driving assistance systems and more fuel-efficient engine options. From the data I've been tracking, after its launch in Japan, it may be introduced to other regions like China in early 2023 or slightly later, depending on local regulations and distribution arrangements. If you want to be among the first to own one, it's best to make a reservation at a dealership. The new car offers spacious interiors and high safety standards, making it very practical for daily use. There's no official word on pricing yet, but based on past experience, it should be comparable to the 14th-generation model.

How to Solve the Buzzing Noise from Car Air Conditioner Blower?

Adding lubricating oil to the blower bearing can resolve the issue. If the buzzing noise is caused by foreign objects, simply removing the foreign objects will suffice. If the above methods do not solve the problem, replacing the blower with a new one is an option.

How to Repair a Car Air Conditioning Refrigerant Leak?

To diagnose a car air conditioning refrigerant leak, you can inspect the air conditioning pipes and various connections for any signs of oil stains. Pressurize the system and spray soapy water to check for bubbles; if bubbles appear, it indicates a leak. Electronic leak detection can also be used to identify refrigerant leaks.

How to Clean a Car's Cabin Air Filter?

The cabin air filter can easily accumulate dust. Simply use tools like a blower or high-pressure air gun to remove loose dust. Never wash it with water, as this can easily damage it. It filters out dust, pollen, and other particulate impurities from the air; it provides fresh air inside the car, preventing passengers from inhaling harmful gases and ensuring driving safety. The car's cabin air filter needs to be replaced regularly. Generally, it should be replaced every 10,000-20,000 kilometers or once a year.

How to Unclog a Blocked Car Air Conditioning Drain Pipe?

Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the front panel and partition, exposing the condenser and drain tray. Fill a plastic water bottle with water and flush the drain pipe along the tray several times to see if it can be unclogged. If that doesn't work, use thin iron wire to slowly unclog and remove the blockage, then flush with water until the drainage is smooth. Reinstall the partition in the reverse order of removal.

How to Fix a Minor Leak in Car Air Conditioning?

When checking for leaks, first clean the components to be inspected, then apply soapy water to areas where leaks might occur. This method is quite simple: add a dye with a specific color to the air conditioning system's piping, then turn on the AC to start the refrigeration cycle. This inspection method requires electronic equipment, so it's not recommended to perform it yourself. Instead, take the vehicle to a professional repair shop for inspection.

What to Do When the Car Air Conditioning Compressor Fails to Start?

Use a multimeter to conduct sectional testing of the circuit, identify the fault point, and repair it. If the Freon refrigerant is depleted, it will affect the insufficient return of the refrigeration oil. Replenish the refrigerant. Prolonged operation under high-speed load conditions may cause premature mechanical wear of compressor components. Replace the worn parts. An overly tight drive belt can directly cause the compressor to jam and stop operating. Therefore, regularly check the tension of the drive belt.
