When will Guangxi implement China VI emission standards?

Guangxi began implementing the China VI emission standards on January 1, 2020. The implementation plan for China VI emission standards is as follows: 1. Phase One: From July 1, 2020, all vehicles sold and registered must comply with the China VI-A standard; 2. Phase Two: From July 1, 2023, all vehicles sold and registered must comply with the China VI-B standard; 3. Early implementation in certain regions: Some cities will implement the China VI emission standards for light-duty vehicles as early as January 1, 2019. For example, Guangzhou implemented the China VI emission standards for light-duty gasoline and diesel vehicles from March 1, 2019; Shenzhen required light-duty diesel vehicles to comply with the China VI standard from July 1, 2018, and light-duty gasoline vehicles to comply with the China VI standard from July 1, 2019.
As an environmental enthusiast, I pay special attention to this issue. Guangxi implemented the China 6 emission standard in July 2019, starting with the China 6a phase, and then upgraded to the more stringent China 6b version in July 2023. The purpose of this implementation is to reduce pollutants in vehicle exhaust, such as carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxides, which has significantly improved urban air quality. Smoggy days in cities like Nanning have noticeably decreased. At the time, many of my friends discussed how the new standard brought more low-emission vehicle models into the market, making everyone feel more at ease while driving. Relatedly, vehicle inspections have become more important, as exceeding the standard could result in fines or being barred from driving. It is advisable to regularly maintain your car and not neglect it. Overall, the implementation of China 6 has been quite meaningful in protecting Guangxi's green mountains and clear waters, and we should continue to support such environmental policies.
